Kitchen Assistant Wanted at Residential Care Home in Westerham

Are you a compassionate and hardworking individual looking to make a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our warm and welcoming Kitchen team at our care home in Westerham.

Post: Kitchen Assistant

Hourly Rate: £11.44 to £12

Shift Times: 8am to 3pm

Contracted Hours: Full time and Part Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring residents receive nutritious and delicious food.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing up and cleaning equipment.
• Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen tasks, including food storage and inventory management.
• Ensure dietary requirements and preferences of residents are met.
• Work collaboratively with care home staff to create a positive dining experience for all residents.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is preferred but not essential.
• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to improve the lives of our residents.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• An understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work flexibly.
