KS1 Teacher - Long-Term Maternity Cover

Accelerate Teaching is delighted to offer a full-time teaching opportunity for a dedicated KS1 teacher to join a primary school based on the East side of Leeds. This long-term position will start in September 2024 and continue until Easter 2025 covering a maternity leave.

About the Role: As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to young learners, showcasing a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment. You will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, assess pupil progress, and work collaboratively with colleagues to support the holistic development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to KS1 pupils.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
  • Have a meaningful and impactful difference of each child you teach and work with.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in a KS1 setting.
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on young learners.
