Job Title: KS1 Teacher

Location: Stockport

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £30,000 - £41,444 per annum

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our team.

Job Description:

As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in developing the academic and social skills of children in Key Stage 1. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and respect among students.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support students' learning and development.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in a positive and consistent manner, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and contribute to the writing of reports.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1 is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the national curriculum and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and effective classroom management techniques.
  • Attributes: Passionate about teaching and learning, patient, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS check and references.
