Teaching Assistant - KS1

Are you at the early stages of your Teaching Assistant (TA) career? Would you like to work at a fun, engaging and passionate Primary School environment? An exciting role for a TA working in Key Stage 1 (KS1) awaits you at a wonderful primary school in the Dewsbury area! We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic TA to join a primary school team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible and continue in the role into the new academic year.

About the Role: This role focuses on KS1 and requires expertise in Read Write Inc. Phonics. You will support the academic and personal development of pupils, with your primary focus on implementing Read Write Inc. Phonics to enhance early literacy skills. Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, providing one-on-one or small group support, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a primary school setting.
  • Training and/or experience in Read Write Inc. Phonics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to creating a supportive learning environment.
  • Be able to work indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather.
