Primary Teacher
  • Daily Rate: Negotiable

  • Job Type: Temporary (Full Academic Year)
  • Start Date: 16th September

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for a mixed Year 5 and Year 6 class. This long-term temporary role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to make a significant impact on the educational journey of their students for the entire academic year.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to a mixed class of Year 5 and Year 6 students.
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupils’ progress and providing feedback.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share resources.
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils’ progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly with mixed Year 5 and Year 6 classes.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
