KS2 Teaching Assistant

Hourly Rate: £13.43

Location: Preston

Job Type: Full-time (30 hours per week)

Start Date: September 

LTA / Reed Education are seeking a Qualified and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant for a Preston based primary school from September. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will work full-time, 30 hours a week, earning a gross pay of £402.90 weekly.

Day-to-day of the role:

Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging educational activities for KS2 pupils.

Support individual students and small groups to help them understand the material and complete tasks.

Work closely with the class teacher to monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback.

Help manage classroom resources and create a stimulating learning environment.

Encourage positive behaviour and support the development of pupils’ social skills.

Assist with the organisation and supervision of school events and trips.

Contribute to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience working with children, particularly in a KS2 setting.

Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and educational needs of children aged 7-11.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of the class teacher.

Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
