Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with an Ofsted rated "Good" single form entry primary school in Frodsham that is easily accessible via public transport, as they are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated teaching assistant for a long-term temporary contract. This is a full-time position that will last for a minimum of two full terms.

Your new role
In your new role as a KS2 (key stage 2) teaching assistant at this school, you will be supporting the year 3, 4, 5, and 6 classes. You will work under the instruction of the class teacher to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment by building strong constructive relationships with your pupils. You will aid with general classroom and behaviour management, ensuring that all learning equipment is utilised in an accessible and inclusive learning environment. You will offer intervention and booster sessions in core subjects on a 1:1 and small group basis, aid in transitions from lower to upper KS2 (key stage 2), and aid in mock SATs tests.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with KS2 in the last 2 years, as well as:

  • Experience with interventions and booster sessions
  • The ability to take a pupil-centred approach to learning
  • An NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in Support Teaching and Learning is advantageous but not essential
