Your new company

If you are looking for a new role from September, then this could be the perfect position for you.
At Hays, we work with a number of schools across the Chorley area, and we are always looking to provide these schools with KS2 supply teachers. These schools are a mixture of mainstream and SEN and the positions available include day-to-day, short and long-term roles.
We are now looking ahead to September and looking for committed and reliable staff to fill these roles. This could be perfect if you only want to work part-time, if you're new to teaching or if you'd like to take a step back from all the full responsibilities as a full-class teacher, not to mention giving a great work-life balance.

Your new role

In this job role, your main responsibilities will include carrying out lessons for absent teachers and this will involve using the lesson plans they have left for the class and ensuring pupils remain fully engaged with the learning. By being in this role, you should be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupils, you may be required to mark the work from the lessons you take or liaise with parents if you secure a long-term role. This is a great role to broaden your experience working in various schools and year groups and to expand your knowledge.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is preferred, however, this could be a perfect role for an NQT/ECT that is looking to gain some experience working within the primary school environment.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate while gaining invaluable working experience. You will receive continued support from your experienced personal consultant who has forged strong relationships with local schools, along with free career development courses and free CV and interview advice.
