About the Role:

Our client a major leading business with a strong purpose and values is seeking a motivated and ambitious L&D & HR Business Partner to join their Infrastructure team in Hertfordshire. This role is ideal for someone who is keen on personal growth and eager to contribute to both Learning and Development (70%) and HR Business Partnering (30%). Reporting to the HR Director, you will be the go-to expert for all L&D matters, while also providing essential HR support.

Key Responsibilities:

L&D Responsibilities (70%)

  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and address skills gaps.
  • Facilitate and deliver training interventions and support local team development.
  • Lead quarterly Talent Review meetings, focusing on key role successors.
  • Develop technical skills training based on thorough analysis.
  • Implement and support Early Careers programs for graduates, trainees, and apprentices.
  • Ensure compliance with company induction policies and manage GDPR and code of conduct training.
  • Work with L&D professionals to compile comprehensive reports and documentation.
  • Identify and reclaim training funds from relevant bodies.

HR Business Partnering (30%)

  • Model HR business partnering and build robust relationships with managers.
  • Manage employee relations and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Support the execution of annual HR events and champion engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage absence levels and trends effectively.
  • Drive project talent review processes and ensure succession plans are in place.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives and build a diverse talent pipeline.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Proven experience in Learning & Development.
  • Ability to conduct learning needs analysis and facilitate assessments.
  • Coaching experience for line managers.
  • Understanding of academic establishments and routes of study.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
