Laboratory Assistant
  • Location: Ware, Hertfordshire
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and experience

We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our ISO accredited Lighting Lab based in the Technical Department. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy in measurement.

Day to day of the role:
  • Learn and perform accurate thermal, power, and photometric measurements on lighting equipment.
  • Set up equipment for testing, carry out measurements, and compile detailed reports.
  • As you gain competence, take on responsibilities for system and equipment calibration checks and record-keeping to maintain ISO17025 accreditation.
  • Organise third-party testing and maintain product compliance certificates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A-Level (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and Physics.
  • Previous experience in the Lighting industry is advantageous.
  • Electrical and Electronic qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work closely with the Laboratory Manager and as part of a team.
