Located in Birmingham, their team of friendly and dedicated professionals is the heartbeat of their business.

They are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday.

What you’ll be doing

You will perform complex analysis involving Fire Assay, as well as instrumental methods, such as XRF and Titration. You will carry out precision weighing and use high temperature furnaces.

Working in a small team of five, you will build your experience in compositional analysis, test your ability to work to and meet tight deadlines and problem solve.

About You

To be considered as a Lab Technician, you will need:

- Experience of working in a lab environment
- Experience handling acids, chemicals and weighing of samples
- Maintenance of a clean and safe working environment with an understanding of safety awareness
- A willingness to learn new techniques, multitask processes for efficiency, keep accurate records, and follow instructions
- Team Spirit
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to also use initiative and work independently
- General administration skills & computer literacy

The successful candidate will need to complete, at the company’s expense, a basic DBS check.
