Pertemps Reading are recruiting for a Lab Technician to work at a Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory in Wokingham.

Contract Duration:        Until 31st January 2026

Hours of Work:              36 hours per week | 09:00 – 17:00, Thursday to Monday

Start Date:                    ASAP

Pay Rate:                      £13.30 per hour

As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform a range of basic routine analysis, product manufacturing and sample preparation under supervision of a senior member of staff 

  • Perform laboratory tasks following specified methodologies, such as Standard Operating Procedures

  • Use of specified instrumentation and laboratory equipment, including calibration where required

  • Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of laboratory work undertaken and results

  • Be competent in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role: Laboratory’s LIMS system, Q-Pulse, etc

To be considered for this Lab Technician role, you should possess the following:

  • Educated to A / HNC level in a relevant scientific discipline

  • Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to follow written instructions

  • Able to perform repetitive work to high standards in high throughput environment

  • Flexible and adaptable in a workplace and enjoys the challenge to adapt to different teams and working environments

  • English fluency (written and spoken)
