Laravel Developer
As a Hybrid Laravel Developer, you’ll join our dynamic team, working both on-site in
Leicester and remotely. You’ll play a pivotal role in upgrading, maintaining, and
enhancing our bespoke in-house application, crucial for stock management, CRM,
and helpdesk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Laravel 10 Upgrade: Lead the transition to the latest version of
- Laravel.
- Application Maintenance & Enhancement: Ensure our bespoke application is
- robust and evolving.
- Integration Opportunities: Develop and integrate new features to enhance
- system capabilities.
- Performance Optimization: Improve the applications performance for a
- seamless user experience.
- Frontend Development: Work with Vue.js to maintain and enhance the front-

Requirements:
- Laravel Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience with Laravel.
- MySQL Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MySQL databases.
- Vue.js Experience: At least 3 years of experience working with Vue.js.
Nice to Have:
- AWS Experience: Familiarity with deploying and managing applications on AWS.
- Performance Optimisation: Skills in optimising application performance for efficiency and speed.
The Candidate:
- Ideal candidates will be hands-on, directly engaging with application users and
- collaborating remotely with the development team. You should be adept at:
- Developing features and fixing bugs.
- Providing Level 1 support and diagnosing application issues.
- Testing new features and patches.
- Facilitating communication between business and technical teams.
- Comfortable with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Git, etc.
Technical Familiarity:
- Laravel (5.8 or newer)
- Vue.js with Vuetify
- MySQL
- Deployment to AWS (using Laravel Envoyer)
- Communication tools like Slack, Hangouts
- JIRA for development backlog
