Are you a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional? My client are looking for a Lead Accountant to join their dynamic team and support the Head of Finance, Operations, and HR. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within a brilliant organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with annual budget setting, in-year forecasting, and cashflow management.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with budget holders and senior leadership, providing them with financial insights and support.
• Management Accounts: Prepare and post journals, including Payroll, Accruals, Prepayments, Income, and Central Allocations. Provide analysis and commentary on variances.
• Reconciliations: Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Manage Restricted and Designated Funds accounts.
• Payroll & VAT: Ensure timely preparation of monthly payroll and VAT returns. Maintain accurate VAT rates and partial exemption calculations.
• Asset Management: Keep the Fixed Asset Register up to date.
• Funding & Compliance: Support funding applications and ensure compliance with funder restrictions. Assist with grant reporting.
• Team Development: Provide guidance and development to the Finance, Operations, and HR team.
• Financial Controls: Support the Head of Finance in maintaining effective financial controls and preparing annual accounts.
