Job Title: Lead Audio Visual Engineer

Location: Essex

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 + Overtime

Benefits: 32 days annual leave, door to door travel, paid expenses, pension, tools, company van, fuel card

A Market leader in audio visual installations within the leisure sector, specialising in creating immersive and luxurious environments in gyms, leisure centres, and retail spaces. The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Lead AV Engineer to join our team and carry out installations of audio visual, access control, lighting, and networks in leisure facilities throughout the UK. Key duties include:

  • Leading onsite engineering teams and acting as the point of escalation for any issues on site
  • Liaising with clients and serving as the point of contact for external contractors
  • 1st and 2nd fix AV installations (including screens, projectors, speakers, lighting, CCTV, access control, and data networks)
  • Delivering hardware and equipment to site
  • Interpreting schematic drawings
  • Commissioning of installed AV solutions
  • General administrative duties, such as stocking consumables, completing timesheets and mileage forms, and managing returns
  • Carrying out service and maintenance calls when necessary
  • Regular travel throughout the UK and overnight stays when required

Essential Qualities and Skills:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an installation role within a technical engineering field
  • Valid ECS or CSCS card
  • Willingness to travel, stay away from home, and work extended hours
  • Right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualities and Skills:

  • IPAF, PASMA, CTS, or SSSTS certifications

In return:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive annual salary of £34,000 - £40,000, depending on experience, with paid door to door travel and excellent overtime rates (up to time and a half). You will also receive 32 days of annual leave and all expenses, including travel, accommodation, and meals, will be covered when working away from home.
