In this key role, you will spearhead the finance business partnering team, ensuring robust and productive relationships between finance and stakeholders. You will support the housing directorate while overseeing all directorates, working closely with the Financial Controller and Treasury & Financial Planning Lead, along with colleagues from various departments

Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, your expertise will drive the business partnering function, underpinning the housing directorate's success. You will focus on performance management and collaborate with leaders to deliver precise, timely, and insightful management information, empowering stakeholders to make informed business decisions. Your support will also extend to the broader Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with key stakeholders to promote effective decision-making and accountability.
  • Lead, support, and develop the finance business partnering team, fostering high performance through consistent management.
  • Analyze financial and non-financial data to produce and report meaningful management accounts and finance reports.
  • Coordinate the quarterly forecast and annual budget production, highlighting key risks and opportunities to the Executive team and Board.
  • Assist budget holders with coding and the budget cycle, ensuring variances are understood and addressed, with appropriate mitigations implemented.
  • Adhere to all period end deadlines.
  • Operate with transparency and integrity, ensuring excellent record-keeping for audit purposes.
  • Prepare and present management accounts and reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
