LEAD PRICING DATA SCIENTIST - INSURANCE

UP TO £110,000

LONDON

An exciting InsurTech startup are hiring for a Data Scientist to lead their pricing modelling. This role will lead the pricing function from an individual contributing perspective but can provide the opportunity to lead from a line management point of view as they grow.

THE COMPANY

An exciting, fast paced InsurTech with around 10 people in the business. They are backed by a larger tech business who have already successfully launched an InsurTech business. Their funding is in a great place and the aim is to be profitable by 2027.

THE ROLE

You can expect to be involved in the following day to day:

  • Lead the modelling and pricing development - this is early stage
  • Utilise Python, SQL and ML techniques
  • Be responsible for everything involving pricing - data management, developing models, hosting models, deployment of models, and product development
  • Be proactive with driving pricing change
  • Work closely with the engineering team

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Python and SQL
  • Experience in ML modelling
  • Experience working in pricing within insurance
  • Good communication skills
  • A strong university degree in a numerate discipline
