We are recruiting for Lead Auto Mail Operators to join the Abbey View site for Paragon based in Wymondham. The site specialises in production of outbound and inbound document services. The site contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability for the purposes of outbound mail and postal and electronic receipt, capture, validation, and document storage for the purposes of inbound mail.

Hours:

This role works on an annualised hour shift pattern. The number of hours you work in a one year period will average out at 35hrs per week. There will be a requirement to work more than 11 shifts in any two-week period. You will be given a new plan every six months that will outline what shifts you will be required to work during that period.

What does the role look like:

As a Print Lead Operator, you will be responsible for day-to-day operator duties. Alongside this role you will be supporting the Senior Operator on Health and Safety, SLA delivery, managing daily peak workloads. You will take lead in the absence of the Senior Operator.

As the Print Lead Operator will be a supporting driver in continuous improvement activities and the streamlining of existing processes and the creation of new processes within the area.

What are the responsibilities:

  • Adhere to defined quality standards and processes in all activities, ensuring best practice is adopted
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively coach the team
  • Monitor team throughput and organise staff as necessary to achieve team SLAs
  • Monitor Operators quality and throughput targets are achieved
  • Demonstrate drive and support for continuous improvement activity
  • Provide support in identifying process weakness through continuous improvement methodologies
  • Provide support to operators training requirements
  • Maximise efficiencies in all jobs by recognising and highlighting opportunities
  • Support in providing timely and accurate daily SLA and throughput reports
  • Maintain accurate records of statistical information for audit or review purposes

Experience you need to bring to the role:

  • Proficient communication skills
  • Planning & organising - Managing and measuring work
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively resolve problems
  • Demonstrate support and drive for continuous improvement activity
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • A reasonable level of competence in the use of a PC and Microsoft applications
  • DMAIC Certification is desirable
  • Experience within print is essential
