A fantastic new opportunity has become available Lead Quality Engineer / Specialist with one of our Financial Services clients based in Bromley/London.

Role: Lead Quality Engineer / Specialist

Location: Bromley / London (3 days a week onsite)

Duration: 12 Months

Status: Inside IR35

The Quality Specialist/Engineer is part of a centralized team within the Productivity Architecture & Engineering organization.

They support and maintain the compliance through the various systems, processes and tollgates related to the operation and development of the application/services.

Experience and Skills required:

  • Experienced in Automation, Test scripts, Test Process and Understanding of Manual testing.
  • Microsoft 365 - Email Infrastructure, Workspaces (M365 OneDrive & SharePoint Online) and Core (M365 licensing and infrastructure).
  • Establishing a test and automation strategy, Creating common test frameworks.
  • Automation tools, Stakeholder Management, Test data generation, Defect management and Reporting
  • Experience testing Microsoft 365 products, services, business flows and understanding of financial context in which technology and operating principles are used within the business area.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and optimize test processes including defect management and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework & Jira
  • Contribute to building quality into the System Design Lifecycle (SDLC) using best practices and tools.
  • Create a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.).
  • Create and optimize test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools.
  • Lead test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams.
  • Ensure alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders.
  • Optimize test suites employing techniques such risk-based testing.
  • Manage test execution and assist with resolving, communicating, or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance.
  • Contribute to test data management approach, processes, and tools.
  • Condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data.
  • Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them, as necessary.
  • Create and manage traceability. Trace tests forwards/backwards through the design lifecycle and back to requirements.
  • Use testing tools and follow processes to complete testing on a given test environment and assist with fulfilment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments.
