Great parental leave, Greenfield work and huge tech investment!
Bristol (2 days per week)

An awesome opportunity to join a great company! They aren't the new kids on the block but I have a feeling their name is going to be pretty big throughout Bristol in 2024! The business has announced a multi-billion (yep with a B) investment over the next 3 years into their data, people, and security. Specifically, £50 million is going into this area to start a massive transformation which we are supporting the growth of.

This is a huge opportunity as we start to build out multiple new teams across Bristol. Lots of greenfield projects, work to reduce the business's carbon footprint and transform products and services from dates, and legacy technology to modern tech.

I'm looking for a couple of Lead Engineers or Engineering Managers. As an EM you won't be hands on but MUST come from a technical background and be in the known when it comes to Architecture. As a Lead Engineers you can chose to be an IC or more people Lead.

You will be working closely with, supporting and reporting to the Head of Engineering who is epic! You will be leading teams delivering web-based applications and play a key role in moving the legacy stack onto the cloud. You will be contributing to the strategic direction on how they integrate with the new back-end applications and help develop juniors and lead a team of engineers. (30 engineers will be hired later in the year)
Some of your skills include:

  • An understanding of the full web application stack, deep and broad knowledge, with focus on Back-end API skill set.

  • Cloud experience migrating legacy applications; Desired to OCP/GCP
  • Creating and leading frameworks in a modular codebase and familiarity with Backend development.

I met some people of the team and asked them what they liked about working here and they said:

  • 'nothing is off limits, if you have an idea bring it to the table, let's discuss and then put it into the pipeline'
  • 'we want latest and greatest, we must continue to innovate to keep up with start up's in this space'
  • 'we want to be inclusive and accessible to all of our customers'

  • 'people will always hear you out and they pay much attention to developer experience which is what I love best'
  • 'you only hold yourself back here. If you want to advance your career and your skills, here is an excellent place to do it!'
