Lead Software Engineer – Job opportunity

Location: Onsite (Some flex) Wrexham County – LL14

Salary: £65k - £75k plus bonus and a generous range of benefits and very attractive working environment.

Market leading business, entrepreneurial mindset with lots of growth planned are looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer who has a background in PHP and Symfony.

This role could suit an existing Lead Developer or Engineer / Development Manager or a Senior Developer looking to take a step up into a lead role. The ideal candidate will have team management experience plus hands technical capability.

  • PHP / PHP Unit / MySQL / Docker / Twig / API Platform / Deployment pipelines / Solid Principles / Symfony / Magento2 / Elasticsearch
Role responsibilities
  • Working in a development team to support and lead on development projects / changes
  • Get involved with and oversee build and maintenance of internal systems to automate processes
  • Oversee and get involved with research, test and implementing software solutions
  • Focus on quality code, making improvements and creating efficiencies
  • Taking a key role in the future development roadmap
  • Involved in software projects
  • Work to deadlines in a high pace environment
  • Manage, mentor and support a small team of highly skilled developers
