Lead Systems Administrator

I am working in collaboration with a medical pathology organisation based in Kings Cross and they are urgently seeking a talented Lead Systems Administrator who would play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting our physical and virtual operating system estate. This is a permanent position to start immediately and is hybrid working (50/50)

Main responsibilities will include:

• Provide third-line support to the IT Infrastructure team.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly.
• Support virtualisation environments (Hyper-V and VMware).
• Security and Antivirus Management:
• Ensure our systems remain secure by advising on security posture.
• Keep antivirus and anti-malware systems up to date.
• Investigate and neutralise threats detected by these systems.
• Assist with desktop applications (Office 365, Teams, Citrix).

• Manage Exchange servers (both on-premises and Exchange Online).
• Participate in regular system maintenance and Infrastructure Maintenance
• Monitor business-critical applications and hardware.
• Maintain domain controllers, DNS, and DHCP.

• Prepare and maintain documentation (SOPs, user manuals, etc.).
• Respond to emergency requests promptly.

Ito be considered for this role, you must possess:

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Experience in being a team leader (leading a team of 4)
• Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 systems.
• Expertise in Azure Administration
