As Lead Technician, you will be an integral part of our service team at Heathrow/BA, focused on delivering top-tier maintenance services for Industrial Refrigeration systems. This role is semi-mobile, predominantly based at Heathrow Airport, but occasionally requiring travel to different client locations across the UK. We work within a set timeframe and according to a defined process, service agreement and customer needs.

What you will do

Our Maintenance Team perform routine scheduled maintenance on Chillers & Industrial Refrigeration systems on site. Part of the role is to conduct inspections to assess the condition of Refrigeration systems and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.

As the direct contact with the client for site technical service and maintenance issues, you will be responsible for trouble shooting and servicing industrial refrigeration/chiller systems within a set timeframe and according to a defined process, service agreement and customer needs. You will carry out system PPM as per contract requirements communicating clearly findings and any further actions required. To be successful for the role you need to have proven experience working on a wide variety of chillers and have necessary qualifications.

What we look for

  • F-GAS 2079 card and Ammonia handling certification

  • Experience in working with Ammonia & Co2 systems.

  • Experience with major manufacturers such as Frick, York, Carrier, Trane, Daikin

  • Electrical and controls experience to be able to identify and rectify electrical and control issues.

  • Being able to analyse relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, psychometric diagrams, etc.

  • Capable of working without documented procedures and with limited supervision.

  • A committed can do positive attitude with the ability to integrate and work as a member of a team.

  • A full UK driving license and willingness to travel as required
