We’re looking for a Lead Consultant to join a service design and innovation consultancy team. We have two roles; one working specifically with health and care clients and another within public sector. These can be done remotely from the UK or from a fantastic Bristol central office.

What you’ll be doing

As part of this experienced consultancy, you will be leading cross-functional teams to deliver discovery phases and alpha projects for public and healthcare services. You’ll collaborate with fellow consultancy peers and stakeholders within the client teams on projects, working with user researchers, service designers, interaction designers, project managers and product managers.

Your role will be a mix of strategic client partnership and hands on project delivery. This will include working closely with client stakeholders to understand their services, as well as their strategy, turning these insights into effective programs of work.

As an experienced practitioner you will facilitate workshops with clients, explore and map complex journeys and processes and bring solutions to life through sketches and prototypes.

This consultancy team is small, very knowledgeable and care deeply about the work they do. You’ll get to work on services that have a profound impact on people’s lives and be part of a business that prioritises meaningful work and looking after it’s team rather than profit above all else.

What experience you’ll need

A background in human centred design roles such as service design, research, product design, industrial design or similar.
Experience in leading design and research projects.
Experienced in people leadership, developing, coaching and mentoring others.
Confident in client facing roles with great stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
A collaborative mindset, both with your direct team, client teams and other agency partners.
We are recruiting two positions, one of which requires someone with experience in the health and care sector (public or private).
Public sector experience is advantageous to both roles.

What you’ll get in return

You’ll be joining a small, independent consultancy with a fantastic reputation. The environment is flexible so you can work from home or a central Bristol location. You’ll enjoy 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), your birthday off, a profit share scheme, private medical insurance and health care scheme, an ethical pension and hobby fund.

What’s next

Please apply with an up to date CV and any supporting case studies of your work.
