Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Learning and Information Officer within a Library based in Islington. This is a contract role working full time hours, with occasional Saturday work.

The job:

• Provide a high quality, customer focused library service.
• Carry out day to day duties connected with customer care and/or the maintenance and supply of stock
• Public service routines including shelving, shelf tidying, using ICT to issue and discharge borrowed items, register new users, answering telephone.
• Assist in reader development and promotional activities including story reading and rhyme time activities with children of all ages.
• General ad-hoc library duties as directed by management

The candidate:

• Previous experience working in a public library
• Customer facing experience
• Strong IT and communication skills
