Learning and Development Manager

Yolk Recruitment are partnered with a top tier and highly reputable law firm within the Welsh market to find a Learning and Development Manager to join their team. With headquarters in Cardiff and additional offices around the country. This company works with clients both locally and internationally. They provide top-notch services across various sectors, aiming to excel in their operations and service offerings.

The Role

The Learning and Development Manager will manage and develop the Learning & Development (L&D) function to ensure it operates at the highest standard. A hands-on approach and attention to detail will support the development and delivery of the L&D plan, fostering a high-performing team.

  • Overseeing the L&D team to ensure high performance.
  • Developing and maintaining L&D infrastructure, including the Learning Management System.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop effective training programmes.
  • Creating and delivering various training formats: classroom, online, and blended learning.
  • Coordinating and updating learning materials and organising training sessions.
  • Tracking, recording, and analysing development activities.
  • Evaluating training effectiveness and reporting on feedback.
  • Managing the L&D budget.

Key Competencies

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in a similar role, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement. Excellent communication, organisational, and training delivery skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.

  • Successful track record in L&D management.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in developing training materials.
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems and MS Office.
