Duration: Full-time, Long-term (Until the end of the academic year)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Responsibilities:

As a Learning Mentor, your key role will be to support the comprehensive development of our students. Your duties will include:

  • Offering one-on-one or small group support to students needing extra help with their learning or social-emotional growth.
  • Implementing personalized intervention strategies to address individual student needs and encourage academic progress.
  • Building positive relationships with students, serving as a mentor and advocate for their well-being and success.
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement tailored support plans for students.
  • Monitoring student progress and behavior, providing feedback and guidance to foster positive outcomes.
  • Assisting with the execution of school-wide initiatives aimed at boosting student engagement and achievement.

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in educational or youth settings.
  • A strong passion for supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • The capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid DBS certificate registered on the update service.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
