We are seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will work closely with the SEN Coordinator and class teachers to support the learning and development of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both in the classroom and in small group settings.
  • Support class teachers in delivering differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and the SEN Coordinator.
  • Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning materials.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
