Learning Support Assistant - Bradford

Milk Education are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant for a school in the Bradford area to work on a full-time, long-term basis starting September! This is a role for a specialist school for children and young people 3 –19, where they pride themselves on providing a safe and dynamic learning environment for pupils who have complex needs arising from communication and interaction difficulties, autism, and severe learning needs.

Learning Support Assistant roles & responsibilities:

? Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students

? Support students consistently whilst responding to their individual needs

? Deliver catch-up/intervention sessions

? Work with the class teacher in planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons as appropriate

Learning Support Assistant non-negotiables:

? Recent and relevant experience working with children and young people (preferably in an educational setting or )

? Empathy and compassion - passionate about providing a nurturing learning environment

? The ability to work under the guidance of the class teacher
