Together we are seeking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant , Learning Support Assistant , Behaviour Mentor?for the new academic year SEPTEMBER 2024 - apply today!

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: North WestLondon (NW8)

Working Hours: Part time / Full time

Starting From: September 2024

Skills & experience

  • For this role will need to use their previous experience to work closely with students who have ADHD, Dyslexia and other complex needs.
  • You will need to be enthusiastic, patient, and an approachable person with a passion for learning and teaching and can provide personal care.
  • Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS and must be on the update service.
  • Ideal Candidate: Previous SEND experience is essential, Makaton and PECS experience - highly desirable but not essential, previous experience as a support worker/care worker

You will need:

  • To be committed to providing support to learners with a range of needs, be flexible in your approach and be able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, along with patience and enthusiasm
  • Previous experience with SEND is a requirement
  • Understanding and experience using Makaton, PECs and sensory approaches are advantageous but not essential
  • Willingness to provide personal care support to students who are more vulnerable (such as wheelchair assistance, feeding etc.)
