Reed Education is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a fantastic Secondary School for the new school year. This role offers an immediate start or a September 2024 commencement. The school provides exceptional support for students with diverse needs, including specialist areas to facilitate access to mainstream classroom teaching. • Support students with individual needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and Speech and Language needs.
• Regularly meet with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), staff, external agencies, and parents to support the progress of individual students.
• Contribute to the updating and use of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) for individual students.
• Run subject-specific interventions as required.

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
• A positive attitude and a fair approach to supporting all students across the school.
• Good behaviour management strategies and the ability to remain positive and adhere to the school’s policies.
• Relevant qualifications are advantageous, but candidates MUST have a GCSE grade C or higher (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
