Learning Support Assistant

This role is ideal if you have career aspirations in the field of teaching, psychology, criminology, social work, probation services, care or if you simply love working with children.

An enthusiastic and determined school are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to make a difference in thier specialist autistic setting, supporting children between the ages of 11-19. As a Learning Support Assistant working closley with students who have a diagnosis of ASD and associated difficulties such as speech, language and communication needs, ADHD and anxiety.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Help children understand instructions.
  • Support children during social activities and outings.
  • Encourage communication and also look after their physical needs.
  • Prepare and provide learning materials.

Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Impose patience and understanding.
  • Always be adaptable in any give situation.
  • Be able to develop strong and positive relationships with children.
  • Committed to working as part of a team.

Must be able to Drive!
