Learning Support Assistant - (LSA)

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in the lives of SEN students? Perhaps you're looking for a post following your Graduation and have always been interested in exploring an option within education?

We have an great opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join this supportive and well run Academy's SEN team. Based in Watford this is a full time, term time post, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30-3:30.

This is a large and inclusive school with a varied intake of pupils. Based in a modern, purpose built academy the school boosts great facilities and offers a truly inclusive environment for all pupils. You will be providing invaluable support to students with additional learning needs and work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create an environment where pupils can learn to engage in their education and achieve their best.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with additional learning needs
  • Adapt and differentiate materials to meet individual learning goals and abilities
  • Assist in classroom management and behaviour management
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
