Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Westminster, London
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: £85-£95 (based on experience)

GSL Education London is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join one of its client schools in Westminster. The successful candidate will support students with their learning, ensuring they have the best possible educational experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the classroom by providing support to individual students or small groups.
  • Help students with their academic tasks, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Support students with special educational needs and adapt resources to meet their needs.
  • Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons and activities.
  • Provide feedback to teachers about students' progress and any concerns.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of child development and learning strategies.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare.
