Job description

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time/Temporary

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to college students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials as necessary.
  • Support students with academic tasks, assignments, and study skills development.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and accommodations.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in educational support roles, preferably in a college or similar setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools.
  • Experience with exam accommodations and assessment support.
