We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant team at a college in Harrow. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting students with complex needs and is experienced in PEG feeding and epilepsy care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience and personal development of our students aged 18-25 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to students with complex needs as a Learning Support Assistant, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Administer PEG feeding and manage epilepsy care, following established protocols, as part of your duties as a Learning Support Assistant.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, maintaining the dignity and respect of all students, an essential responsibility of a Learning Support Assistant.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other LSAs to develop and implement individualized learning plans, demonstrating the collaborative nature of a Learning Support Assistant.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as needed, a key task for a Learning Support Assistant.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement and independence, an important goal for any Learning Support Assistant.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with students who have complex needs, a crucial qualification for a Learning Support Assistant.
  • Competence in PEG feeding and epilepsy care, essential skills for a Learning Support Assistant.
  • Willingness and ability to perform personal care duties, required of a Learning Support Assistant.
