About Us:

We are working with an Ofsted Outstanding Lewisham Primary School that is looking for a Learning Support Assistant for an ASAP start. They pride themselves on fostering high-quality, authentic relationships. With the start of a new academic year, the SLT are now looking for an ambitious Learning Support Assistant to join the team. The school have high expectations and excellence for all is a norm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the classroom teacher in supporting SEN pupils.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Provide one-on-one support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when required.
• Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience working within a classroom as a Teaching Assistant.
• Knowledge: Understanding of the National Curriculum and its implementation.
• Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting.
