We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Newham. This long-term role offers the opportunity to work 5 days per week, supporting students of varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing tailored support to students with a range of abilities and SEND, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to deliver targeted interventions and assist with differentiated learning activities.
  • Support students with their social, emotion and educational development both in group settings and on a 1:1 basis.
  • Build positive relationships with students, encouraging their engagement in lessons.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND including Autism, ADHD and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • A commitment to helping students succeed.
