Learning Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work at specialist school in Cheadle near Stockport for those aged 13-18 years old with additional and complex needs.

The school is part of a learning disability organisation supporting children and young adults with complex learning difficulties, disabilities and additional communication needs from across Cheshire & Greater Manchester.

You will provide learning support to pupils and work in groups and on a 1:1 basis supported by other support and education staff. Ideally you will have previous experience of supporting those with complex needs or working within education.

Many pupils can present challenging behaviour and so candidates must ensure they are comfortable working in this type of environment and be aware that these are physically demanding roles.

Position Details:
· LOCATION - Cheadle, Stockport, Cheshire
· POSITION - Teaching Assistants
· CONTRACT TYPE - Temporary (Long Term)
· MINIMUM SUPPLY DAILY RATE - £90+
· HOURS - Full time Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4pm
· START DATE - ASAP

Candidate Requirements:
· QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum C grade in English and Maths at GCSE
· Previous experience in a similar setting
· DBS checked against both Children & Adults or be willing to apply for a new one
· Be able to provide a minimum of two references covering the past 2 years of employment
