Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Carpentry at our Broadwater campus. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £26,189 - £40,839 per annum (£10,475 - £16,335 pro-rata) .

The Lecturer in Carpentry role:

Are you an experienced and passionate carpenter, looking to inspire the next generation of carpenters? Northbrook College is seeking a Lecturer in Carpentry to join our fantastic faculty and help shape the future of our students' careers.

As a Lecturer in Carpentry, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality teaching and training to our motivated students. Your expertise and enthusiasm will ignite their passion for the carpentry trade, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities of ourLecturer in Carpentry:

  • Undertaking, teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Takinge an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
  • Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.

Our ideal Lecturer in Carpentry should have the below skills and experience:

  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
  • Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team with interpersonal skills
