Legacy & Archive Assistants Op Resolve

We are working with a local authority in Warrington to find a Legacy and Archive Administrator on a temporary basis.
Job Type: Full-time (flexible working options available)
Location: Centre Park, Warrington
Duration: 12 months (with the possibility of extension)
Hourly rate: £14.96 - £16.08 per hour
We are excited to offer the role of Legacy & Archive Assistant within the Operation Resolve Legacy Unit. This position involves assessing, scanning, and preparing various materials, including documents, imagery, and audio, for transfer to The National Archives. The ideal candidate will independently process material of historic value, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and archiving standards.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Accurately assess material against legislative requirements, policy, and conventions while maintaining the integrity of the material.
- Produce and maintain Excel spreadsheets and management reports.
- Scan material and edit as necessary using Adobe Pro software, managing the product using emails, Excel spreadsheets, and various databases.
- Independently determine material to be scanned or prepared for processing for archiving.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Must be able to pass full Police Vetting before starting the position.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Understanding of legal obligations related to DPA 2018, GDPR, Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Records Act 1958, and Information Management Authorised Professional Practice.
