Legal and Compliance Lead (Qualified Lawyer)
Location: London (3 days in office 2 days remote)
Salary £70,000 to £85,000

Our client, a leading Global CRM company, is at the cutting edge of Customer Relationship Management, delivering innovative solutions to clients worldwide. As their business continues to expand, they are seeking a talented Legal and Compliance Lead to join their dynamic team, ensuring their operations adhere to the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance.

For this role you MUST be a Qualified lawyer with 4-5 years experience, qualification can be either in the UK or overseas.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal and Compliance Lead:

• Manage and oversee our client's privacy and compliance roadmap, including global data protection compliance, policy updates, and process centralisation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal data privacy policies, ensuring adherence to regulations such as GDPR. Provide training to staff on data protection and privacy issues.
• Conduct comprehensive training sessions for employees on various legal matters, including compliance requirements, privacy policies, and acceptable use policies.
• Lead our client's legal compliance efforts across diverse areas, such as data protection laws, industry regulations, terms and conditions, and payment terms.
• Develop and implement scalable legal processes that facilitate business growth while ensuring strict compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide, and coordinate with external counsel when necessary, legal advice to various departments on matters including marketing campaigns, sales agreements, and new product launches.
• Offer expert guidance on the legal implications of data handling practices and support due diligence processes during fundraising activities.
• Collaborate with external law firms and consultancy firms to obtain specialised legal advice as the company continues to grow.

About You:

• Extensive experience in legal and compliance roles, ideally within the tech or SaaS industry.
• Strong knowledge of global data protection regulations, including GDPR.
• Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive legal and compliance strategies.
• Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal staff.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative approach, with experience partnering with external legal professionals.
