Legal Assistant
Based in the Twickenham area
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum
Full time permanent office based role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a high-street law firm, for a Legal Assistant to join their team.

You would assist the principal solicitor with private client matters, including probate, wills and lasting powers of attorney. Prior experience in a similar role is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and maintain case files.
  • Prepare, proofread, and format documents and correspondence.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court proceedings.
  • Manage communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence with clients.
  • Handle confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of documents.
  • Provide general administrative support such as copying, scanning, and electronic filing.
  • Assist with the employment team’s monthly billing.

Person Specification

  • 1 - 2 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A positive and proactive attitude
