A small Litigation Law firm based in Liverpool is currently looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join its busy team, on a part-time basis, to report directly to the Managing Director. 

You will be working in a small close-knit team and must be confident to work as asole Legal Cashier with previous Legal Accounts/Legal Cashier experience essential. 

This role will be fully office based. 

Duties to Include:

  • Manage the day to day running of the accounts office and control all accounting systems
  • Ensure the maintenance of accounting records, sales/purchase ledgers, journals, whilst making sure all documentation is accurate at all times 
  • Preparing monthly staff payroll in preparation for external accountants, ensuring PAYE/NI liabilities are paid in a timely manner
  • Auditors & Audit – assist and prepare all information necessary for the annual audit
  • Posting all bills raised by Fee-Earners in a timely and accurate manner
  • HMRC – Ensure payment of quarterly vat liabilities are made in good time – Preparation and submission is outsourced to external accountant
  • Ensure Client monies are paid in adherence with SRA rules
  • Assisting with all necessary preparation for the firm’s annual audits
