Excellent opportunity for an autonomous construction lawyer to managerresponsibilty for legal operations in the UK.

This role will suit someone who has self-starter attitude and can work independently with minimal supervision.

This is a great opportunity to manage legal for the UK part of the business, working closely with colleagues who are established in Europe. The business has over 7,000 employees across 40+ countries.

You will report directly to the UK Managing Director, giving you great insight into the business, strategy and operations. You will also have the ongoing support from your colleagues across the global legal team.

As Legal Counsel, a large part of your role will be advising stakeholders on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters - in particular the drafting, review and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts (incl bespoke and standard forms of agreement).

What we're looking for:

Our client is looking for a common law qualified lawyer with practical UK experience; ideally you will have at least 5 years of experience in non-contentious construction law. This could be in-house or within private practice.

Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Construction Design and Management regulations as well as of standard industry contracts such as JCT, NEC or RICS would be hugely beneficial.
