Are you a Top-Tier Legal PA? Our client is looking for someone who can operate as a true right hand and significantly ease the demands of a busy managing partner and international arbitration practice.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate: a highly organised, intelligent, and proactive individual who can operate at the highest standard of professional conduct, ideally with experience in an international law firm or similar environment. Although we are looking for a professional, it would be great to have a relaxed but inviting personality, and able to interact on a personal level, grounded and just all round hard-working.
Core Responsibilities as a Legal PA:
- Manage and prioritise a busy inbox and diary
- Take initiative in handling and drafting certain correspondence, anticipating needs before they arise
- Prepare and manage engagement letters, pitch documents, templates, and internal documents
- Conduct conflict checks and support with clients onboarding process
- Format submissions, memos, and firm documents to a high standard, in line with firm style and professional presentation expectations
- Coordinate and follow-up on clients matters, including time entries, billing, and review of entries
- Support in organising and maintaining large volumes of information and matter files
- Monitor deadlines and coordinate with team members to ensure timely follow-up
- Assist in preparing PowerPoint presentations and supporting materials for internal and external use
- Support the preparation and submission of annual legal directory submissions (e.g. Legal 500, Chambers, GAR)
- Assist with logistics for events, hearings, and conferences (including travel arrangements, materials, etc.)
- Help maintain and grow contact lists and support business development initiatives
- Present the firm positively in external engagements and communications
Key Qualities:
- Highly organised and meticulous, with excellent communication and writing skills
- Reliable and trustworthy, with a strong sense of discretion and respect for the confidential nature of mandates
- Able to think and process information quickly, with sound judgement
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to anticipate needs
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with different platforms and systems
- A positive, can-do attitude and a pleasant, professional manner
- Able to represent the firm with polish and maturity
- Ideally familiar with international arbitration, or at least comfortable in a fast-paced, international legal environment
- Experience supporting senior partners or executives in demanding legal or professional services roles is highly valuable
