Our client is seeking a Legal Secretary to assist them with the day to day running of cases within their Family & Private Client department. The successful candidate will be capable of providing strong administrative support within a legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering the phone
  • Greeting clients
  • Scanning and filing documents
  • Preparing file opening, including client care documents
  • Closing and archiving files
  • Processing payment request forms
  • Drafting of simple letters and dictation of audio files
  • Data input
  • Carrying out ad hoc tasks for fee earners, including preparing sales packs, downloading official copies, tracking changes to documents, drafting HMRC forms and preparing bills

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience working within an office environment
  • Experience of family, private client and/or property law would be advantageous
  • Commitment to client care and providing high levels of service
  • Strong attention to detail, including punctuation, spelling and formatting in accordance with company standards
  • Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office programmes
  • Awareness of the legal market
