Job Title: Legal Secretary - Family Law

Location: Guildford, Surrey, office based

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £27000 - £32000

About the Firm:

We are a well-established law firm located in Guildford.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Secretary to join our Family Law team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in family law, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks with efficiency and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Family Law Partner and team with a variety of administrative tasks.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for clients, handling inquiries with professionalism and care.
  • Schedule Management: Organise and manage diaries, appointments, and court dates.
  • File Organisation: Maintain and update client files, ensuring accurate and accessible records.
  • Court Documents: Prepare bundles and necessary documents for court proceedings.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Manage billing processes, including invoice preparation and record maintenance.
  • Legal Research: Conduct research to support the solicitors when required.
  • Communication: Coordinate with clients, solicitors, barristers, and other parties involved.
