Position: Legal Secretary – Private Client/Conveyancing
Location: Kilmarnock

Pertemps are recruiting a Legal Secretary to join our client, a local law firm. The idea candidate will have experience working in with a legal firm and ideally exposure to Private Client or Conveyancing work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support
  • Draft, format and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for case files and legal documents.
  • Manage schedules, appointments and meetings.
  • Communicate with clients, court officials, and other parties on behalf of the legal team.
  • Handle incoming calls and correspondence efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and confidentiality standards

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Knowledge of Private Client or Conveyancing practice
