Legal Secretary (Private Client)
  • Annual Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)

  • Job Type: Full-time (35 hours per week, Monday-Friday)

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary to join a dynamic legal team in Lanarkshire, specialising in private client services. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in private client work, including wills, estates, and trust management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to fee earners specialising in private client services.
  • Manage audio and copy typing of correspondence and documents using dictation software.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents related to private client matters, including wills and trusts.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with clients, focusing on private client needs.
  • Maintain confidential client communications and documentation.
  • Utilise case management systems to ensure efficient handling of private client files.
  • Perform general office administrative tasks to support the overall operations of the firm.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, specifically in private client work.
  • Strong proficiency in audio and copy typing; familiarity with dictation software.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents related to private client matters.
  • Knowledge of case management software, preferably LawPro.
  • Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and manage sensitive client information.
